Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mostafa Hosseini Neyshaburi, the head of ICRO's Quran and Propagation International Center said the initiative is part of a plan called Risalatallah, which aims to boost Iran’s Quranic capacities at the international level.
He said the Quranic Women Commission will lead the efforts to hold the Quranic circles.
Establishing effective ties between Iranian qaris and memorizers and those from other Muslims countries, founding international Quran recitation and memorization chairs for women, and providing a venue for the exchange of experiences and information among Quranic women are among the goals of the Quranic circles, the cleric noted.
They will also help to elevate the level of Quran recitation and memorization among women and encourage young girls and women to learn the Quran, he stated.
Hojat-ol-Islam Hosseini Neyshaburi said the Quranic circles are held virtually on the last Wednesday of the month.
The recitations at these programs are then analyzed and assessed for educational purposes, he went on to say.
He also said that top recitations in these programs will be awarded and those who actively participate in the sessions will receive special certificates from ICRO.
The qaris scheduled to recite the Quran in the first session include Atefeh Naseh from Iran, Maryam Hashemi from Afghanistan, Jannat Bushra from Bangladesh, Hura Yaseen from the UK, and Hasifa Numan from Sri Lanka, he noted.
